His fairytale-like editorials feature elements such as accessories like skulls, bones set in fantasy sceneries. Jakub Gulyas was born in 1980 in Bratislava and is based now in Austria. Originally he has studied Paper and Photography Conservation and Restoration at The Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, and he has graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design, in 2009. During a workshop in New York City and the Getty Conservation Institute (GCI) in Los Angeles he has learned about the various photographic processes and about the whole history of photography.
