Heinz just opened a baked beans popup cafe at Selfridges in London. The company launched it to mark the 50th anniversary of the “Beanz Meanz Heinz” slogan created in the 1960s. Beanz Meanz Heinz came first in a poll by Creative Review magazine. Retired advertising executive Maurice Drake, who devised the slogan, said a lunch of beer and sandwiches in a pub in Victoria helped fuel the ‘eureka moment’.
If you are walking down Oxford Street, and getting hungry during your shopping, perhaps you make lunch break in Selfridges. You can now get hot pots of baked beans at Heinz’s cafe in London’s Selfridges. Each pot costs £3 and you can get your beans with scrambled eggs, ham hock, or crispy bacon.
